There is an issue. One cannot freely modify Z64's filetable, it's entries must be perfect or the game will crash. What this means is that to insert a scene and it's maps, the file table must be completely rearranged and all the file pointers that are within the game - in code and scenes, mostly - must be fixed to work with the new filetable. For the debug ROM, this is not an issue, the filetable does not need to be updated, but for any other game version - including MM - the filetable must properly work. The porter re-write is to port both MM->OoT and OoT->MM, and I want it to work flawlessly in any scenario.
