you can't store that much shit in little RAM, they have extremely hardcore tiling going on and are basically trawling for investment money

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It is pretty much going back to pixilated graphics, but at a much bigger extreme. Looks badass if I do say so myself.

So long as the data is not 100% pattern free, it is theoretically possible to compress. And in most cases, it is compressible.

How would you [de]compress something that isn't in RAM? I guess you could do a file stream but at some point data sits in a buffer in RAM somewhere.
